USCIS Announces that Applicants for Adjustment of Status no longer need to prove that they have received the COVID-19 Vaccination

Posted on Jan 23, 2025

On January 22, 2025, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service announced a new policy that it will waive the requirement that applicants for adjustment of status (Form I-485) present proof that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination on their I-693 Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. USCIS further confirmed that from and after this date, it will NOT issue a Request for Evidence or a Notice of Intent to Deny related to proving a COVID-19 vaccination and that USCIS will NOT deny an I-485 adjustment of status application based on an applicant’s failure to provide proof that they have received the vaccination for COVID-19.
